Tata Bolt – The sensational premium hatchback to arrive in 2015

Tata Motors is trying very hard to improve its brand image in the Indian subcontinent. The auto-giant this year introduced the most sensational Tata Zest sedan that carried many exciting features and now the car maker is all set to introduce Tata Bolt premium hatchback. Targeting the most demanding premium hatchback segment, the auto-maker is going the right way to increase its sales. Tata Bolt is speculated to launch in the Indian auto-market in January, 2015. Earlier, this car was revealed by the company at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Carrying the impressions of the oldie Indica Vista, the Bolt hatchback seems to be the fresh hatchback player from Tata motors. It is said to carry not only rival killing looks but is also anticipated to come with capacious interiors like the Indica Vista. Compared to the Indica, this premium hatchback is said to carry many advanced features to delight the enthusiasts.

Anticipations are that Tata Bolt will be introduced with standard features like Power Steering, Power Windows, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Music System with USB + AUX-IN, Alloy wheels, AC with climate control, Engine Immobilizer etc. Besides, it will also get fresh features like Revotron 1.2 L Turbocharged MPFi engine with first in class Multi-drive mode, Harman touchscreen multimedia system, Voice recognition and SMS readouts, Speed dependent volume control and Rugby shoulder seats.

Tata earlier gave Indica cosmetic appeal by adding many exemplary features and now the auto-maker has given its best input in making the Bolt a gorgeous looking car. The exteriors of Tata Bolt with boast the all new chrome signature front grille and projector headlamps. Moreover, the cosmetic appealing will be further enhanced by front fog lamps, alloy wheels, ORVMs with turn indicators, rear spoiler with high mounted stop lamp, chrome stripe above licence plate, rear wiper etc. Added to this, Tata Bolt will be 3825 mm in length, 1695 mm in width and 1550 mm in height.

The inside of Tata Bolt also looks inspired from the Indica Vista but in terms of mating and quality it looks little improved. Like the Vista hatchback, the Bolt also gets plenty of space inside and the 2470 mm long wheel base offers ample of legroom to sit comfortably. Compared to the Indica Vista, the dashboard looks re-designed and the interior fit & finish also looks intelligently improved. The instrument cluster hosts intelligent infotainment that also operates many advanced gadgetry options. In addition, the seats are very comfortable and offer sufficient headroom and shoulder width to accommodate with ease.

Tata Bolt looks

No doubt, the Bolt will be an outstanding product from Tata Motors but it might be little difficult for it to sell units in high numbers due to availability of many rivals. In the Indian subcontinent, it will mainly compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Honda Brio, Chevrolet Sail, Volkswagen Polo and Datsun Go.
